Banana Nut

OK, so I'm a little late on the posting. Let's rewind a bit. So TWO weeks ago, we welcomed Banana Nut to our club. We all predicted that it would taste like banana nut bread, which we were pretty much right. The first round Ice Cream Clubbers seemed to appreciate the flavor a little more than the second rounders. No one seemed to just absolutely adore it, but no one really screamed with disgust after their first taste. In MY opinion, it was ok. Not good, not bad, but ok. I took a small bowlful at the beginning with the first rounders because Sarah and Crystal were pressuring me. After ONE taste, I totally figured out Blue Bell's secret recipe to Banana Nut ice cream.

This is what they did to create Banana Nut. They bought truck loads of the cereal Banana Nut Crunch. They captured Brenham ISD school buses full of children and locked them in the Blue Bell Factory Dungeon. The Dungeon is where they housed the truck loads of Banana Nut Crunch cereal. The children were only fed Banana Nut Crunch for a full year. The school children had a bowl at each meal, filled with milk and cereal, but they were ONLY allowed to eat the cereal. People dressed in cow suits, mysteriously stole the leftover milk away after they consumed all cereal. This happened meal after meal. The milk stained with the Banana Nut Crunch cereal flavor, was frozen to make Banana Nut ice cream. After a year of this cereal torture, the children were released in a Brenham farm field. They were brainwashed to believe that they had spent the past year at Camp Nowhere, a fun filled camp with a large supply of Nerf toys, computer games, fireworks, and big screen TV's. The End.

It's bananas B-A-N-A-N-A-S,

Starbucks Look Out!

Blue Bell is always good, however this week's flavor was amazing! Coffee put my tastebuds into hyper-overdrive! I really don't know when I started liking the flavor of coffee. For the longest time it just reminded me of old people and crazed nights of studying. But now that it is part of my daily calming ritual, it is more than just a trendy beverage, but clarity in a cup or most of the time in an ice cold Frappuccino. Starbucks watch out through word of mouth Blue Bell will be the next power coffee company if I have anything to do with it!
Those of you who hate the taste of coffee, fear not this flavor is smooth and sweet in all the right places! Give in to the bean!

Wedding Cake

This week we welcomed our guest Wedding Cake AND two new members, Rachel and Seth. I was super psyched about this ice cream, because I LOVE her friend, Birthday Cake. Then, I read the description. Pineapple...good, cream cheese icing....good, coconut....not good, and walnuts....definitely not good. So, I knew I would just take a spoonful of this sucker. We opened it, and everyone loved it. It was crazy! I've never heard such love for a random flavor. In the words of one of our new members, "Weird, but delicious!" I tasted it, flavor....good, chunkiness of the coconut and walnuts...not good. I rule my life by textures. I don't like the texture of frozen nuts, so that's why I don't like any of the ice creams with nuts. Now if you were to give me a sundae, freshly made by Braums, including hot fudge, brownie, and room temperature nuts sprinkled on top....I will be your best friend. I love the nuts in the Braums sundae, because it isn't FROZEN. Coconuts, give you such a grainy texture to chomp on. Great disappointment. So what was your opinion of Wedding Cake? Do you agree with Rachel, "Weird, but delicious"? Would you ever consider replacing your wedding cake in the future and just start spooning out tubs of Blue Bell Wedding Cake? What other kind of cake ice cream ideas should Wedding and Birthday bring to the table?

I want Blue Bell to create Strawberry Short Cake Ice Cream,
