Butterscotch Nut

This past week, our special guest for the evening was Butterscotch Nut. I heard several compliments towards our tasty Butterscotch friend. I personally, did not try any Butterscotch Nut on Monday. I love ice cream so much, that I couldn't wait till 8 for some ice cream on Monday. I couldn't open up one of our containers, because that would just be betraying the club, by having a sneak peak. I just HAD to go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond that afternoon. I just HAPPENED to be in the area, near a Cold Stone. So I thought I would give my friend, Birthday Cake Remix, a visit. After eating a third of Birthday Cake Remix from Cold Stone, I was full, and had to pass on the Butterscotch Nut. I did try some, I think on Wednesday, while watching the best show ever, Lost.

Now, for my opinion of Butterscotch Nut. It tasted like butterscotch and it tasted like nuts. I like butterscotch, I like it a lot. Nuts, not so much. I love all things accompanied by butterscotch, like Rice Krispie Treats aka Scotcharoos or maybe some hard candy with those little orange/yellow wrappers. My love for the butterscotch hard candy began at a young age. I love those things, I savor every butterscotch flavored saliva that I swallow. Butterscotch hard candy, is the candy that I've choked the most on. Seriously, at least five times. Not the Peppermint or the Jolly Rancher, but the Butterscotch.

How did you feel about the Butterscotch Nut? Did it remind you of the days when you choked on butterscotch hard candy, or am I the only one?

I've also accidentally swallowed my Altoid whole a few times,
Lindsey

Something Tropical Passion?

OK, so maybe I forgot the name of the ice cream we tried this week. It has something to do with being tropical and passionate, I think. Ross, help me out here, you're the one with the leftovers. All I remember is that I didn't like it. I think the only member that liked it, was Ross. It had coconut, which I don't like coconut. It also had this red jelly mixture in it. No one knew what that was about. There was an orange sherbet swirl into the ice cream. Overall, worst ice cream ever. Why Blue Bell? Why give yourself a bad name by making such a flavor? What are your thoughts? What was the worst part? The coconut? The red goo? This next week, we will have one of the six flavors that are living in my freezer at the moment. Hmmm....which will it be? Chocolate Decadence? Wedding Cake? You'll just have to come to find out. Don't forget, you're ALWAYS welcome to bring friends. We need to get some more members!

My freezer is so full it can barely fit an ice cube,
Lindsey

Key Lime Pie

Oh Key Lime Pie, where have you been all my life? The slight tang of your lime was fabulous. Your graham cracker crust chunk was a delightful surprise. The swirl of whip cream was oh so sweet. Key Lime Pie, you're now in my Top 5.

Our first week of Ice Cream Club of the semester with our guest Key Lime Pie, had pretty good attendance for the first meeting. There are several new flavors out there that I'm ready to try! Right now, Ice Cream Club will be starting at 8:00 and will last until about 11:00. DDR will always be that great entertainment to work off those calories consumed by the ice cream. This year I would love to branch out a bit and play some other games. I'm always open for suggestions to better improve your Ice Cream Club experience. A long term goal for the semester is to take a field trip to Brenham, TX to visit the Blue Bell Factory. Club dues are one payment of $5 for the moment, to pay for ice cream throughout the semester. We may have to ask for another five bucks later in the semester if we run out of money. Friends are always welcome. If you have any questions, let me know! What do you think of Key Lime Pie? Good? Bad? Do you want more graham cracker chunks? I sure do! Yay for Mondays!

I ate Key Lime Pie Blue Bell for breakfast,
